Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall with a few minor drawbacks. The location was great for exploring Rome, and the service from the night auditor was exceptional. However, the room had some issues with mosquitoes, and the dining experience was not up to par.
I found my stay at Hotel Villa Torlonia to be a mixed experience. While the rooms were quite noisy in the mornings due to plumbing issues and appeared more dated than in the photos, the affordability of this hotel stood out. The service, unfortunately, was not as welcoming and helpful as I had hoped, particularly when it came to storing our baggage upon early arrival. The location, a bit outside the main part of Rome, was a downside, though the presence of nice restaurants nearby was a plus. The dining options were limited, and the beds were uncomfortably hard. However, there were some nice fresh pastries. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel had some decent facilities to offer.
The hotel rooms were lovely, perfect to come back to after a long day of sightseeing, but unfortunately they were very noisy in the mornings due to plumbing issues and were also very small. The rooms were of a decent size but not clean enough and felt very cold at times. The service was nice, with helpful and welcoming staff, especially the night auditor who assisted us with a smile, map of the city, and any doubts we had. The location was a little out from the center but very close to a metro stop and some fabulous dining options without city center prices. The dining experience was good, but the vegetarian dishes were limited. The hotel lacked some facilities and could use improvements. Overall, a mixed experience with some positives and negatives.
The hotel is a little far from everything, offering privacy but with soundproofing issues. The location is lovely with lots of nice restaurants but lacks ideal soundproofing. The service was amazing, especially from the night auditor, reception staff, and some were not as helpful. The rooms, while could use a paint touch-up, were free and available for bookings, though cold at night.
The hotel is in a cozy neighborhood, quite near the metro station Policlinico. The rooms, although small, are nicely decorated and comfortable, but they could be a bit larger. The service was excellent, especially the night auditor who was very helpful. The location is convenient, just a short distance from the metro stop and with nice restaurants nearby. The dining experience was average, and the breakfast could be improved. The facilities are well-maintained and satisfactory.
